Looks like nothing crazy is happening while it roasts.]

I don't recall seeing a deer like this in the jungle we fell into, though.

[ There's another slightly wary look over at the half cut up deer at that statement.. Just making sure it's not really something weird in disguise, okay! Edgeworth's words sure aren't giving him a whole lot of faith. ]

Flaming deer. Strange fish with very sharp teeth. Rhinoceroses that look as if they're covered in moss.

[Yup. He rattles them all off in a matter-of-fact tone.]

Look, Shinpachi has seen some weirdass animals in his jamjar life. But all of that? That's definitely ranking high up there on the list despite not seeing them himself. He blinks away the surprise for a moment before the first thing that comes to mind just comes straight out of his mouth.. ]

Y'know, if you'd kill a flaming deer, you'd just have instantly done meat. You wouldn't even have to cook it. [ LOOK, THE CONVENIENCE JUST.. STRUCK HIM, OKAY. ]

[Sorry, Shinpachi. Edgeworth inspects the meat and plucks the stick out, holding up the smoking piece and giving it to Shinpachi.]

The meat was...ordinary.

[ What a disappointment. And here Shinpachi thought he found the perfect way to skip on cooking and not have to do his part of the chores... ]

What a bummer. [ But he does grab the piece of meat from the other - already biting in it too. You know, as if it wouldn't be hot. He does wince a little because of it, but he's just chomping down on the meat further anyway.. like a true man... a true idiot man who's going to burn his mouth later. ]

Maybe it was only an illusion or whatever. That they only looked like they were on fire, but weren't really.

Perhaps. They didn't burn their surroundings, after all.

[That's still some strange deer, though. Edgeworth has no comment on the guy not even blowing on the hot deer meat.]
