[Edgeworth opens his mouth to object; he is NOT going to let Anna use herself as his shield! But before he could say anything, he hears the rumbling, and pauses in his tracks, his grip on his sword tightening.]

Did you hear that...? [Please don't be an earthquake. Please don't let the ground start to shake under his feet...]

[As she heard it, she too stopped on her tracks before taking a good look at Edgeworth. She bit her lips wondering what else she could do but it was clear that she was getting nervous]

Y-Yeah, I did. What do we do now? [Sure, she might have said she wanted to be a shield but right now? She wasn't sure if that was a good idea anymore]

[As much as he'd rather not listen to the rumbling, he remains silent, listening for the sound again. It was becoming louder and louder...

Either they run back to the filthy water trap, or keep going and hopefully lose whatever is making the rumbling noise. No contest.]

Run. Before we find out what is making that sound. [Edgeworth doesn't want to stick around long enough to know especially if it ends up becoming an earthquake.]

[Without another thought, she quickly took Edgeworth's hand and started to run in a certain direction. However, she had no idea where she was going. At this point, she was using her instincts in hopes that the sound would stop.

Instead, it only louder. Almost as if it knew where they were going]

[Edgeworth nearly stumbles when Anna grabs his hand, but keeps himself from falling all the way down and runs with her. For a moment, all he can think of is escape, run, move and never look back...until he is suddenly aware of how much louder the sound was. Anxiety begins to flower in his heart, but he hides that behind a firm, solid expression.]

[If we're lucky, ViViD will choose this moment to return us to the real world...]

[There was no such luck from the ViViD.

Anna only smiled as if she was trying to reassure him that everything would be okay. Although, she had a feeling that no matter what they did, it wouldn't end well. When Anna gave a gulp, she grip around Edgeworth's hand tighten.]

What do we do now? You think we can make a run for it?

[Normally, she would have some sort of plan or at least wing it. However, this time, she wasn't then sure what to do]

[He doesn't say anything about Anna's tightening grip, but merely bites his lip as he tries to think of some other plan. There were no footholds or doors or any ways out through the walls...]

It's the only thing we can do unless we find another way to escape! [Edgeworth speeds up.]

[As she tried to keep up with Edgeworth's pace, another rumble appeared. However, unlike the other times, this one got even louder. And should they pay closer attention, the small rocks on the floor started to shake.]

Then, c'mon! We'll run as fast as we can!

[She shouted trying to run as fast as they could. She didn't need to be told twice that there was a monster right behind them!]

[Uh-oh. The rocks shaking on the floor are a bad sign. His hands are beginning to tremble ever so slightly, and he deliberately does not look down at all. Instead, he chooses to focus on moving forward, whatever was up ahead, and hoping that ViViD would glitch the earthquakes away if it could.

He's just that desperate, wishing for a glitch at this moment. Edgeworth grits his teeth and begins to yell over the rumbling.]

Do you see anything up ahead?!

[Just like Edgeworth, she couldn't afford to look back. She just needed to keep forward in hopes that they'll be able to find an exit. Although with the ground shaking, it proved to be more difficult than she thought. It was as if she could trip at any second and it would be the end for the both of them!

Not only that, she knew that there was a limit to how much she could run]

N-No, I don't think so but I see a corner we can turn! Maybe we can hide in there and they won't be able to see us!
