[Edgeworth gasps when Athena pounds the table. That...was a very loud reaction, and he's well aware of everyone else staring at them.]

[Edgeworth blinks, and his eyes widen.]

[Edgeworth doesn't even chastise Athena for that "old" comment.]

He was a defense attorney before. But when Wright met him, he was already a prosecutor.

[Edgeworth closes his eyes briefly. Guess he'll have to be the one to tell this sad story, although he can do it candidly because it doesn't concern him much.]

He was in a coma after being poisoned, and became a prosecutor under the alias "Godot" to exact vengeance on Wright. You see, he blamed Wright for being unable to stop Miss Fey's murder.

[ there's a thoughtful pause there as she processes that. she knows that mia fey passed away, but she never knew the whole deal with the murder case. ]

[He put his cup down - more gently this time. Then he proceeds to unfold his chessboard and set up the pieces.]

Godot blamed Wright for not protecting Miss Fey on that fateful night. She was important to Godot, so when he awoke from his coma only to realize that she was dead, he directed all his emotions toward beating and humiliating Wright.

[Edgeworth frowns, scarcely believing what he just heard from her.]
