I can say with certainty that he is. He did not recognize me either, but the name "Edgeworth" still draws strong reactions from him.

I deduced that whatever his point in time may be, it is sometime after meeting my father...but before taking me under his wing. Perhaps... [A pause. For dramatic effect.] Even close to DL-6 itself.

Good. [The last thing they need is a riled-up Manfred von Karma. Even if he doesn't know either of them.] I think it's best he doesn't know about his future.

It's only an act, Wright. I've turned my back on the von Karma creed, remember? I won't return to it; I'll make von Karma think I've never left it.
