I doubt it. I was able to ask Milly Ashford if we could exchange residences for five days without explaining why.

On the contrary, with the spate of bizarre stunts during that time, I believe many people would have concluded that you were using their pools to fulfill these dares, and that you were in the same boat, so to speak.

I was not prepared to risk that it may not be acceptable. And, as I said, I was hoping to come and go without being noticed.

I had to jump into every pool in Holly Heights. It was quite a daunting task.

Yes, I can't imagine enjoying that task either, were I in your place.

I believe I have mentioned this once or twice? The only natural abilities people in my world have are referred to as "limits" and they activate in battle under certain conditions for some people. Some can use theirs when they focus intensely, others only when people they are deeply connected to are in danger. Some can only use them if they themselves have been wounded. Sometimes a combination works. Such abilities are unique to an individual and can range from enhancing the skills they already have, enhancing weapons, magic, strengthening those around them, and so forth. Usually, they form a bit later in life and based on your personality, interests, skills you already have, so forth.

But I digress. I'm a Blue Mage and use Blue Magic, which is identified as being able to mimic the skills of others. It is not a skill that anyone else shares, though it has been documented in the past. Essentially, I must take something from the person or thing I fight against and apply it in some way (often ingested, which can be as vile as implied) and then I can copy that skill. It remains in an arsenal so to speak that I may access at any time when under duress.

Interesting. And the skills you can mimic are the same are these "limits", or can you mimic other types of powers?

Sometimes. It is usually "monsters" that I can mimic and I cannot decide what skill takes to me, if it does. On occasion it does not take at all. I'm not sure if it is because it cannot be copied, if I am simply incapable for some reason of using that ability, or it failed and I need to try again.

Also, an addendum: there are people who can naturally use magic. Sorceresses. Traditionally, they are tragic and romantic figures but since Adel (who I have mentioned in the past) and then Ultimecia they are treated mostly as evil. Humans are, in theory, capable of magic but they cannot tap into using it naturally as Sorceresses can without the aid of Guardian Forces.
