[A sigh. He should have expected this. Obviously Athena would probably do as Edgeworth asked, but she'd want answers later on. And Phoenix was a handy repository of answers about Edgeworth's life, if the prosecutor himself did not wish to speak.]

It's the least I could do. Did you tell her the full story? [At least he doesn't sound annoyed or outraged - more resigned than anything. It might even make Athena more likely to be cautious around Manfred if she knew, but that doesn't mean Edgeworth has to like sharing his past with others.]

No, I haven't known her for that long...but I've met her previously, in the world I was first sent to.
