I have been informed of your justice system efforts and am contacting you on behalf of Detective Will Lane. He would be willing to assist your current efforts establishing one or in investigations if you should need it.

There's been a murder in the Freya District, a few hours ago. A grey citizen. The hospital lab staff are currently conducting a scene exam prior to removing the body. I've given them instructions about forensic procedure but if you've any advice, you're more than welcome to stop by the scene or come by the hospital later.

[WHOA MAN HIS EARDRUMS. He flinches before replying steadily.]

I did not, Larry. Calm down.

[There's a huge sigh of relief on Larry's end.]

Thank the gods. [pause] Actually, don't thank them! They really need to stop letting this place get attacked!

[He takes a deep breath.] I'm really glad you're safe, Edgey.

...Indeed, but whether or not they will listen is an entirely different story.

I take it you are unharmed? [Well, Larry sounded fine, and HE was the one who called up in the first place.]

Who knows? I get that they want all kinds of emotions here, but I think we've had enough pain and suffering to last for a while.

Yeah, 'm fine. Freaked out, but fine. Seriously, this is so not cool.

I don't think they are particular with the types of emotions they gather from us.

[A sigh of relief.] Good.

Are you sure? 'cause it's been crazy ever since I got here!

I leave to work at the library, to borrow books and to gather information; the animals around are harmless if you ignore them.

Yeah but the stabbers sure aren't! But you've got your power too...

No one has tried to stab me as of late, and I'm quite sure I can provide a diversion to escape should anyone make such an attempt.

[There's a slight pause, then] I trust you. I think I'm gonna stay inside just to be safe though.

I also try not to take deserted routes whenever I leave our House.

However, I am considering taking a few days off from work until this settles.

[If only Edgeworth could see Larry's eyes lighting up at him mentioning taking some time off work.]

I cannot be overconfident in my precautions and...abilities. This danger is becoming more and more real with each incident.

I'm not sure how to actually practice with my power, but we can figure something out. You've always been good at that.

Ne -- I know it's not been so long since you posted about your legal system, but I'm feeling like a more solid statement of purpose might be a good idea. I'm sure you've seen the anonymous network post, but it's not just that -- I've got a documented case of a grey citizen acting with intent to harm another grey citizen.

It's pretty straightforward -- a married couple, husband jealous of the time the wife spends in their florist shop. Neighbours report hearing frequent arguments, culminating in the argument that lead to the attack. The husband stabbed the wife with a kitchen knife. She's been healed and is staying with her parents for now.

Nothing that I haven't already told you -- no significant contact with Travellers and he claims to know that his wife is 'seeing' a customer -- which she denies and is irrelevent either way. Assault is still assault.
