[Well, this is bad if even ViViD-savvy Athena is clueless. He stares at the Tonberries, armed and yet not exactly that dangerous, because they weren't charging toward two very confused humans stuck in a video game.]

Maybe we should change our strategy! [a.k.a. show no mercy and actually kill the things.]
