But I don't understand. Could he really be from the past?

I can say with certainty that he is. He did not recognize me either, but the name "Edgeworth" still draws strong reactions from him.

I deduced that whatever his point in time may be, it is sometime after meeting my father...but before taking me under his wing. Perhaps... [A pause. ~~For dramatic effect.~~] Even close to DL-6 itself.
