[[It’d been three days by her CEREVice’s clock since the incident. It wasn’t something Rei was particularly upset about, all things considered. What had happened was just something that had happened, and it was her fault for not weaving tighter defenses, really. It was not a pleasant feeling, knowing that she’d been gone, but it was less the actual cessation itself and more the ripple effect it would have on the people who knew her. She’d always been the strong one, someone that the colonists could rely on and take comfort in. Now she wasn’t sure how they’d react. Could she be that person, or would their viewpoint change when they learned what happened? Hopefully not.

Like always though, she isn’t going to do things by half measures. So once she’s changed into comfortable shoes she heads out to the various apartments of friends and compatriots, arriving with just a simple text to let them know she’s on her way.

Edgeworth is one of those she feels the worst about, having missed their usual tea time, but he's also one of the older folks, and so she makes time towards the end of the day to see him personally. Because she has a lot to explain, she thinks. She knocks on the door of his place a couple of times and calls out.]

Edgeworth-san, it's me, Rei. Are you home?

[Apparently Kashuu's style is primarily offensive - or he's just having a fun time pursuing, because there's barely a break as he sizes his distance up before sweeping forward again. This time, it's to deliver a horizontal strike.]

[Edgeworth is indeed home today, and answers the door. He is a little surprised to see Rei, even if she HAD sent him a text message letting him know she'll come by. After recent events, he's beginning to suspect the worst about people who were only surfacing three days after the 15th.

He tries to be optimistic but that becomes harder and harder everyday. Especially after Weiss had made the post about her death.]

[A few hours ago, he was saying the exact same thing to Larry. Edgeworth pinches the top of the bridge of his nose before raising his hand to his forehead. He takes a couple of deep breaths before continuing.

He wants to freak out and yell and place a scathing message in Mosley's inbox right now but none of that will bring him closer to the truth.]

[Now that some of the missing people have started trickling in, Edgeworth's inbox and front door are beginning to see a lot of activity. At least he knows Franziska is well and alive enough to be speaking to him and wanting to meet with him...

Oh, who is he kidding, he's worried about her. What if she was hurt? But he stows all those ~unnecessary feelings~ away and answers her steadily.]

[The answer is yes.

Anyway, at five minutes to seven, Edgeworth walks up to the dojo, with this sword in a scabbard at his hip. He'll be looking for his sparring partner if Cao Pi happened to be around already at this time.]

[Edgeworth shudders and sharply inhales. His worst fears were confirmed. But otherwise, if he had been holding anything, he wouldn't have dropped it.]

I...I see. [What else does he say to a friend who just came back from the dead?] But you are...all right, now?

[Better than his rival.

Rei meets his eyes with hers, solid and placid, unruffled by all this. She's more irritated than anything else.]

I am actually quite fine. It's not a new experience, and I woke up with more rest than I've had in months. No injuries or pain, either.

[he's only behind by a couple of minutes, but at least he can be seen coming with the bronze-edged armor over his shoulders catching the morning light. He has a pair of thinner blades in a double-sheath at his side, and when he spots Edgeworth looking around, quickens his pace]

[ Franziska's just going to walk over to Edgeworth's home. She's tired but unharmed otherwise. ]
