That's good to hear. Has he met Zwei - Ruby and Yang's dog?

[Edgeworth follows him out. The biggest ring sounds like a good idea. It means more room for him and Kashuu to move around in.

He doesn't mind which part he gets so he'll stand opposite Kashuu, raising his practice sword into a guard position and adjusting his stance.]

It's rather quiet out here, today.

Today's one of the quieter days. It can get a little slow, so I'm glad you decided to join in! The more the merrier or something, right?

Kashuu shifts into an offensive starting stance after that though, blade held at the ready.]

[Within a few hours of his return from his bizarre adventure. Phoenix seeks out his friend, Edgeworth.

He's even more of a dinosaur than I am, so he might not check his cerevice often enough.

And maybe, after what he's just been through, it will help just to see his oldest friend's face.

Phoenix comes to his apartment and knocks on the door.]

[you're a good bro, edgeworth. give respect to repede and repede respects back.

no worries, flynn understands that the two legged creatures are only interesting for so long. those pets let up as soon as pess starts to look more interested in repede than getting some human affection. repede heads on over to pess so that they can get started with the usual doggie greetings.]

He has. Zwei occasionally joins us on our jogs.

[Larry's voice is completely frantic. He's clearly freaking the heck out about something.]

I can't get a hold of Nick all the sudden! I keep getting a weird message every time I go to call him and I've got no idea what it means!

[Edgeworth wants to flip out too, but that won't get them anywhere. And already he's seen this same message while trying to contact several people he knew. Including Phoenix.]

Calm down, Larry. [His tone is tense, however. Edgeworth is THIS close to throwing his CEREvice against a wall.] Does the message say "User Currently Occupied"?

[Edgeworth, still worried sick about the people who are suddenly out of reach, gets up to open the door.

Lo and behold, it's one of the people he was looking for, and the shock makes him gasp and take a step back.]

[He takes this time to pick his jaw up from the floor to ask the first question that pops into his head.]

Edgeworth! [Phoenix is relieved to see he's alright. The reaction seems to give the impression that Edgeworth has been at home all along.]

It's - well, it's a long story. But I was kind of whisked away on an odd adventure. But... I'm back, and no worse for the wear!

[Edgeworth nods. Not because of Kashuu's "the more, the merrier" comment, but because he's ready. Just so we're clear:]

[Bring it on. He IS in fact ready to see what Kashuu's made of. Which is a lot because he's the actual spirit of a legit weapon and has probably been around for a long, long time despite looking so young.]

[And Phoenix would be right. Anyway, Edgeworth gestures for Phoenix to enter the apartment. Right now it's just him, his dog, and England's flying bunny fairy.

He sighs.]

As right as they can possibly be with so many people missing. We couldn't contact any of you via CEREvice.

[Pess is friendly enough, if extremely eager.]

I see. Where do you usually jog?

[Their exercise was mostly walking but sometimes Edgeworth took Pess out for a run. It was good for him and not just his dog, too.]

That's fine. Shall we meet at the dojo?

That will do. You know where it is? [not that he's good with directions but there's a sense of familiarity that wasn't there the last time they spoke]

[After a brief customary bow to start the match, there's no hesitation at all on Kashuu's end - he's immediately darting in (albeit at practice speeds, since he's here for form and not to kick a corrupt spirit's ass) and levying an overhead strike down toward Edgeworth.]

[Phoenix enters and absentmindedly pets the dog before he looks at Edgeworth with alarm.]

Any of... Edgeworth, who else went missing?!

Yes, I do. After we last spoke, Kashuu was...kind enough to give me a tour.

[And a surprise sparring session. All because Kashuu thought Edgeworth was Hasebe.]

[Edgeworth frowns. The flying mint-colored bunny waves his greeting to Phoenix upon emerging from the kitchen. At a nod and a look from Edgeworth, the bunny lures Pess over with a tug toy and the two of them disappear into the prosecutor's bedroom.

Before he begins counting off names on his fingers, Edgeworth gestures for Phoenix to have a seat on the couch.]

You, Franziska, Maya, Miss Cykes, Iris... [He takes a breath, not sitting down himself.] Chibi, Dipper, Rei, Yu Narukami [~~no Yu puns for you!!!~~], Steven, Hiro, Adelina, and Inaba are among the ones I know.

[Needless to say he doesn't look pleased at all with CERES' latest stunt...if this was the work of CERES.]

[Edgeworth remembers to bow as well. Then when Kashuu darts toward him, he uses his own sword to block the strike as it comes. He digs his heels into the ground, trying not to yield...

[Phoenix doesn't even process the wtf-ery of the flying bunny creature, because he's too distracted by the task at hand.

Phoenix goes to sit down, but he quickly stands up again, alarmed by the first few names alone. Those girls being in trouble is something that instantly worries him.]

No! Edgeworth, we... we have to find them! ...Hiro got out with me, but I had no idea that any of those other people were missing too!
