I was. I did promise I would explain things to you later, but I wanted to make sure that my... regain "took", so to speak.

But I digress. I'm a Blue Mage and use Blue Magic, which is identified as being able to mimic the skills of others. It is not a skill that anyone else shares, though it has been documented in the past. Essentially, I must take something from the person or thing I fight against and apply it in some way (often ingested, which can be as vile as implied) and then I can copy that skill. It remains in an arsenal so to speak that I may access at any time when under duress.
[ She definitely realizes that was a "lesson" and is a little embarrassed by the fact. ]

Also, an addendum: there are people who can naturally use magic. Sorceresses. Traditionally, they are tragic and romantic figures but since Adel (who I have mentioned in the past) and then Ultimecia they are treated mostly as evil. Humans are, in theory, capable of magic but they cannot tap into using it naturally as Sorceresses can without the aid of Guardian Forces.

That being said, I used my regain from that... event for my junctions.
