- M. Edgeworth
prosecutory: (♙ that I've never lived before)
Okay, if you're reading this and you know Ace Attorney's magatama mechanics, you can skip everything and go down to the last part because all you need to know is that Edgeworth will eventually have the magatama in SC and it will work as it normally does. If you're not well-versed with AA, read on. Don't worry, there are no spoilers.

Anyway, the magatama (see icon) is an ancient artifact from a family of spirit mediums that allows people to see secrets when they hold it or keep it on their person. These secrets take the form of red locks and chains over that person's heart. Usually the Psyche-Locks don't show up until the person is asked about whatever he or she is keeping secret or the conversation takes that direction, so it's not like Edgeworth will be walking around seeing locks locks EVERYWHERE. As long as the person clams up, the locks remain locked. If he or she speaks up, then they break. But what if he or she doesn't want to speak up?

That's when the evidence comes in. To break these locks, evidence must be presented. A correct guess (or maybe two) will shatter a lock. Too many wrong guesses will force Edgeworth to withdraw and try again later because apparently if you use the magatama too much that way, your soul could shatter. So I guess in a way you'd be spiritually spent, you would need to gather your thoughts, and try again. And when you do, you'll have to start from the beginning.

THE LAST PART: Thank you for reading! Just answer these two questions.

Can Edgeworth see your character's secrets as Psyche-Locks?
If yes, can he attempt to break these locks with evidence? (This isn't a guarantee he'll be able to get stuff out of your character. Edgeworth may be a genius but he's not omniscient.)

If you opt out of magatama times and prefer to keep your character's secrets a secret from Edgeworth, it's really as simple as not discussing anything that could lead to those secrets. Feel free to let me know if I'm starting to get closer to the truth when you opt out. If you opt out of the second thing, then we simply keep any incriminating evidence away from his prying eyes.

As we all know, Miles Edgeworth has been blessed with the Meister ability called Soul Talk, which is like powered-up persuasive speaking. He can now convince or inspire the soul of something - and this works better in crowds. And best of all, he doesn't have to whip out evidence! It might help, though.

Now that he knows his ability, I'm putting up this handy little post to keep track of people who have allowed Edgey to BEND THEM TO HIS WILL - I mean, Soul Talk them a bit. And so we iron out the tiny details. However, please keep in mind that whether or not your character will be convinced by any of his tl;dr is entirely up to you and your character's personality. Also, since the ability apparently works better in crowds, there will most probably be less control in a one-on-one experimental session than in a battle setting where he may be designated to defense AKA keeping everyone's spirits up.

I just want to be really sure. ^^;

So if you are cool with all of the above, just fill this out. If you'd rather not have Edgeworth mess around with your character, it's okay. ^^

Character name: Self-explanatory.
How strong-willed is your character?: Can they hold their own in a debate? Do they cling stubbornly to their beliefs? You can cite examples from canon if you want. I'd like to hear a bit about this AKA tl;dr all you want - for example, are there certain topics that may send their resolve crashing down? In line with that...
How convinced will they be?: Will they submit peacefully to everything, or question a detail or two before being thoroughly convinced? As I've said, this is entirely up to you and will depend on your answer to the above question as well as the character's overall personality, what's being discussed, etc.
Would they volunteer to allow the ability to be used on them during training sessions?: The current training log may not be the only time when Edgeworth will have to resort to speaking to people to practice. Also, will they be okay with him whispering in their ears in general?
How will they react?: To being turned to Edgeworth's side, yes. I'm just curious about this, really. Oh, and I guess so we can set things straight if your character will get back at him AKA if you want permission to punch him after an experimental session.
